                What's New

Thank you for accessing the kwest Design site. My hope is that you'll enjoyed learning about my wearable art and will add my site to your Favorites so you can click-n-visit from time-to-time to see what's new and what's anticipated.

EVENTS

  • September 17, 2004  One of my green Sculptural Peyote Cuffs with Rhyolite chips, various glass accent beads and African brass was auctioned off at the 15th Annual Northwest Artists United Against AIDS to benefit Evergreen AIDS Foundation in Bellingham, Washington. It was fun to picture the bidding frenzy-OK, so I have a vivid imagination! But combined, we artists were able to raise over $40,000 to help support services to people with HIV/AIDS in our community. If you, too, would like to support this organization please look for details on their site at www.evergreenaids.org. If you are reading this from outside the area, look into your local support groups and give what you can.

  • November 20, 2004, 10 AM - 5PM  I will show and sell my jewelry in Collage Four on Saturday, November 20 at the Sandstedt residence located at 1603 West Olive Avenue, Redlands, California. If you would like a printed showcard with directions and further details, please e-mail me and I'll add your address to my mailing list. This is the fourth in a series of well-received intimate gatherings, a collage of 20 artists who share their art displayed in lovely residential venues. The private settings for these shows provide a gracious means by which artist and those who appreciate art can come together.

NEW WORK

  • Treasures. In this year I've lived in Birch Bay, WA-I am amazed at how quickly this first year has passed-I've spent a great deal of time wandering along the beach, picking up bits of shell, rocks, beach glass, odd pieces of rubbish that have made their way back to shore. In addition to the photographs I've taken, some of which will find their way onto cards and/or into fine art shows, I have counter tops full of these sandy, salty treasures. Designs for incorporating them into jewelry are taking form. I'll soon have a body of work of Mermaid baubles to share with you. I guarantee they will be worth a return visit to this site to feast your eyes upon!

  • Bridal Collection. I've started designing lovely bridal jewelry for lovely brides. Check back to see romantic personal adornment for that special day.
